Laguna Shores

Retro cool — Enter through an ordinary street frontage and be prepared to be wowed by stunning ocean-front views and front-row access to Heisler Park and the beautiful beach coves. Walk outside and just hop on the shuttle that runs every 20 minutes and takes you to all of the Laguna Village fun. Being there is like having private access to a historic family beach compound.

I have been here twice now with my sister, and I absolutely love it! The view from the room is phenomenal. The gorgeous Park and Beach directly across the street is so nice to walk and just to look at the beauty.

Location, location, location. Within easy walking distance from downtown shopping and restaurants, perfect location across from the park and ocean views from many of the rooms. It is an old place with older rooms that have been upgraded.... each room is a little different, noise can be issue from your neighbors if they are loud... and street noise can be heard. The pool is good. You can hear the shore breakers. Have been going here every summer for 20 years... love it, but it is not a 5 star experience, but if you love the ocean and busy beach environment, go for it, I recommend. We even went ocean kayaking this year, a short walk to Divers Cove. So park your car and walk everywhere.

11/5/23 Stayed in room 225Captian room. It is the smallest. It's a good room for one person or if you don't mind crawling over someone getting out of bed. It's is a Wonderful place just ask for a bigger caption room. Anna A.

Five stars for location & view (from most, but certainly not all) rooms. If you want a high end hotel or Marriott timeshare type place - forget it. You will hate this place. However, if you want something with gorgeous views, steps from the beach, walking along the scenic cliffs and a couple of blocks to Laguna Beach village this is the place. Rooms are nice & clean, but small and cramped. While the staff & management is very nice and they try hard, getting a nice room with a view is sometimes difficult. Thus, the one star deduction. I own a timeshare and have been coming here for years. I highly recommend this place, as long as you get a room with a view.

I love Laguna Shores! My family has had a timeshare here for over 20 years, it's so homey! I come here during spring/summer almost every year. You're a 5 minute walk from the main beach and even closer to the surfer area. There's lots of food options and a Starbucks right down the street. The pool is heated, and there's a jacuzzi to relax in! The rooms are well furnished and equipped with basic necessities, and there's a laundry room free to access. The staff is very friendly as well, and the housekeepers do a great job of keeping things clean! You get 1 free parking space with your room, but there's plenty of street parking if needed. I reccomend this place to anyone seeking a home-away-from-home beach getaway location!

Our family has had a timeshare at Laguna Shores since the 1970s. We always look forward to our yearly stay there. The location is perfect, the grounds are nice, and the staff extremely friendly and helpful. They keep up the grounds fairly nice. My only big complaint is the sofa beds are horribly uncomfortable. It feels like you're literally laying on springs, and after one night I woke up with a sore back, neck, and headache. The next night my husband and I slept on the sofa and floor, which wasn't great, but it was much better than the sofa bed! My dad reported this discomfort, and they brought us a mattress pad. Hopefully that will help. If it does I'll update my review. Other than that, I actually love the place. UPDATE: the mattress pad brought to us (after I had a painful night's sleep and my dad called the office about it) improved the comfort of the sofa bed. It wasn't great at all, but it made the awful mattress tolerable - barely! They really need to ditch those old spring sofa bed mattresses and purchase modern, comfortable, foam mattresses.

We love returning to this place every year. The rooms have a stunning view. Heisler Park is right across the street and it is one of the most beautiful parts you’ll ever find. There are paths all over the place. The beaches are fabulous. But back to the resort. The staff is so friendly and they snap To it if there is a problem. The furniture could use some updating. As could the curtains.But they keep it clean and they have a fully stocked kitchen for all your pan and dishes needs We highly recommend it!
